Under The Gun photographer Tori Thomas grabbed some photos at the first night of the Mayday Parade & The Maine college tour with special guests The Postelles. The Tour kicked off at Grand Valley State in Allendale, MI on October 19.
I traveled to Grand Valley State expecting a great performance from Mayday Parade and The Maine, and from what I can tell, that’s what I got. The first band to perform was The Postelles. I’ve never heard of them, but I liked what I heard and would definitely see them live again. Next up was The Maine, who’ve I’ve seen quite a few times. This performance I didn’t like as much as previous performances; I think it’s mainly because I followed them back in the day and they played mainly new songs. They performed great, I just wish they played more old songs. And then came time for Mayday Parade to take the stage. I’ve also seen Mayday Parade live more than a few times, and this time was the best performance I’ve seen from them. Mayday Parade is one of those bands that just keeps getting better every time you see them live. The only downfall to their set was the length, I wish they could have played longer.
