Tyler, Tex. folk-pop duo, Merriment has signed to Rory Records, Max Bemis’ Equal Vision Records imprint.
The band features siblings Christie and Collin DuPree, relatives of all the members of Eisley, including Bemis’ wife and Eisley frontwoman, Sherri DuPree.
“Not only is Merriment one of my favorite bands but they have more potential to blow the heck up than most bands I encounter nowadays,” Bemis said in Equal Vision’s blog.
The band self released their debut EP, Through The Rough, earlier this spring before releasing a split 7″ vinyl this past summer with Eisley. Pick up Through The Rough on iTunes and watch the music video for their song, “Blessed Soul”, below.

A native of New Brunswick, NJ, Anthony graduated from Rutgers University majoring in Journalism & Media Studies. He loves music, design, social networking and 'Rocky' movies. He also owns and operates his own clothing line, Breathe Atlantic.
