WEEKEND BOX OFFICE RESULTS: October 26-28

Ben Affleck climbs the box office to the number one spot with Argo even though no one went to the movies. It was a slow weekend at the box office, even for horror movies (I guess everyone was too busy partying or watching sports). The massively hyped Cloud Atlas only reached the number three spot for the weekend, which does not bode well for the future of the Wachowski brothers’ future film endeavors. Other new releases also underperformed, especially Chasing Mavericks, which did not make the top ten. Who would have guessed no one outside of the west coast could not be bothered to care about surfing? You can see the full top ten list and how much the movies made after the jump.
