Michigan post-hardcore newcomers The Monsters I’ve Met, which features former members of Famous Last Words (InVogue Records), are releasing their new album, Lights Out!, on October 31. Being from the mitten state ourselves, UTG could not pass up the opportunity to premiere the album ahead of its release date.
Say what you will about the fusion of electronica and post-hardcore, but it’s clear from the response of listeners worldwide that it’s a niche that is here to stay. The Monsters I’ve Met are amongst the few acts that have found a way to stand apart in a scene flooded with hordes of wannabe musicians scrambling for attention with GarageBand Loops and three Drop D chords, and that deserves to be recognized. If you have any interest in this realm of music in the slightest, treat yourself by clicking through the “Read More” link below and experiencing Lights Out! in full.
