STREAM: Soundgarden – “Non-State Actor”

Soundgarden‘s first studio album in years, King Animal, comes out in a mere two weeks. Another song from the album, “Non-State Actor”, has been put online by the band, and this marks the second song in a row by them that I’m not let down by. This isn’t as good as “Been Away Too Long” in my opinion, but it’s certainly a return to that heavy 90s alternative sound that died too soon.

If only Matt Cameron’s material with Pearl Jam would be this good, we could have two 90s bands that were still producing music that didn’t suck. In a few weeks, you’ll be able to read our review of King Animal here at UTG; hopefully the album maintains the quality of songwriting we’ve heard so far.

Listen to the new single here after the break, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Whew! After hearing “Been Away Too Long” I was worried this album was gonna suck. This one is definitely more like it.
