When he wasn’t busy being an emotional wreck, Ben Gibbard found the time to film a new music video that pokes fun at the image often found necessary to succeed in the music industry. His music video for “Teardrop Windows” off his album Former Lives, which we reviewed here, acknowledges that he is not a “bad boy”, and has some decent jokes in the process.

His ex-wife, Zooey Deschanel, recently sang the national anthem at the last World Series game in Detroit.

The funny video, filmed by Tom Scharpling, can be watched here by clicking “Read more.”

I finished school with a music theory degree. Before I finished school, I was a janitor. You really should apologize to all the janitors you've ever had. You hurt them. Seriously. You did.

But, now that we've cleared that up and you called your high school janitor, know that I quit being a janitor to pursue writing about music. So here I am, and here you are, and hey how are you?
