Foxfires Announce New EP, Release New Song

Worcester hardcore act Foxfires have announced they will be releasing a brand new 7-inch EP, titled Golden Age, set to be released in early 2013 on Escapist Records. Along with the new EP, Foxfires have also released a brand new track entitled “Black, White Birch”.

For those unfamiliar with the band, Foxfires features ex-Four Year Strong band member Josh Lyford and ex members of both Mountain Man and Last Lights, whose combining efforts sound as great as your imagining. Hit the jump to listen to the new song, as well as view a statement from Lyford on the new EP.

We are beyond excited to release our new EP with Escapist Records. I think that the new material is a logical extension from our last EP, both lyrically and musically.  Lyrically, our last EP mostly dealt with the gap that develops when you lose someone close to you and the questions stemming from that. Golden Age is more of a reflection on what happens while you are in the process of rebuilding that part of you.
