I absolutely hate that Star Wars got announced for new movies purely because there’s loads and loads of rumors flying around that probably have little to no substantiating evidence. Alas, UTG is a group of Star Wars nerds, and we are going to cover a lot of those rumors. But we promise to at least be a little snarky in the process.
Today’s rumor from UK tabloid (the only reason I’m running something from a tabloid is because respected /Film ran it too) is that Darth Vader will return from the grave in the new Star Wars trilogy. Yes, you read that right. Darth Vader, the tragic villain who died to save his son (spoiler alerts are pointless this late in the game, if you haven’t seen Star Wars by now you probably never will care to) will come back from the dead. This theory comes from a “film mole” that UK Tabloid has who says that, “He’s an integral part of the franchise. Replacing him is virtually impossible.” It is a film mole who won’t say his or her name, but interesting nonetheless. The mole goes on to say that, “The plan is for him to return and play a significant role in the new films. This is science fiction remember. Darth Vader will rise from the ashes.”
If anything of this sort happens, UTG is going to be gutted. This is blasphemous, terrible, and if true I’m sure it will make as much sense as the Wookies in the Christmas Special. I do not understand this rumor. If it’s true I’m jumping on my lightsaber.
