It has been awhile since The Gay Blades blessed us with new music, but an update from the band this evening has given us hope that will be changing soon.

Taking to their Facebook, which is updated fairly often for a band that rarely plays shows and hasn’t publicly discussed plans for new music in months, the band announced plans to release new material to benefit a more-than-deserving cause:

Wrote and recorded a song that can hopefully help raise some cash for those in need after the storm. Trying to find the best way to release it. Please stay tuned…. #Family

We will bring you details on how to acquire the song as soon as further release information surfaces. Until then, spend some time with the video after the jump and remember why this band still kicks ass.
