Following up her tear jerking performance of Kelly Clarkson’s “Behind These Hazel Eyes” on Monday night, Hey Monday vocalist and super-hottie, Cassadee Pope advanced to the next round of NBC’s The Voice last night. Now that Michaela Paige has been voted off, Cassadee is now one of the two remaining contestants under Team Blake alongside Terry McDermott.
Additionally, NBC released a video on YouTube yesterday of Team Blake performing Tom Cochrane’s “Life Is A Highway” before Paige was cut from the team. Check out the video below and let Under The Gun Review know who you’re rooting for in the comments.

I wasn’t really a fan of Cassadee Pope until I watched the show last night and she sang Over You. She killed that song in more ways than one. She carried the song with a steady, powerful voice and still allowed real emotion to come into the performance. I honestly think she almost made Blake cry since that song carries significance for him. You just never know what’s going to happen on The Voice so I’ve got my DISH Hopper recording the show each week. It automatically records the show through PrimeTime Anytime and that way I know I’ll never miss a song. I also really liked Terry’s version of Summer of ’69 because it was still Bryan Adams with lots of Terry mixed in. He knows what songs work for him and how he can revamp the songs he does without destroying the original. My DISH co-worker says that neither will go home this week but I guess that all depends on those who voted. I sure hope that America decided to keep both around for another week.
