Dave Grohl, front man for the Foo Fighters and recently returning drummer for Queens of the Stone Age, is officially the keynote speaker for 2013’s South By Southwest Festival. His speech will be on March 14, at the Austin Convention Center.
SXSW takes place from March 12 to 17 next year. We showed the previous band announcements here. More bands will be announced as March gets closer.
Maybe this keynote speech will lead to a secret gig in Austin for one of Dave’s side-projects; if you recall, after Lollapalooza in 2009, Them Crooked Vultures had their debut secret gig in Chicago. Regardless of whether anyone Grohl related plays or not, we’ll be happy to hear a speech from a rocker we can’t help but love.
But, now that we've cleared that up and you called your high school janitor, know that I quit being a janitor to pursue writing about music. So here I am, and here you are, and hey how are you?
