Between unreleased recordings, tribute acts, and holographs, artists keep finding a way to produce from beyond the grave. Legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix will have a new album of material – a full twelve previously unheard songs – coming out in 2013. The album, titled People, Hell And Angels, is recorded from sessions that were intended for a follow up to Jimi’s final album with the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Electric Ladyland. The album was originally to be titled Days Of The New Rising Sun.

The press release says the guitarist “toys with horns, keyboards, percussion and a second guitar, exploring fresh diversions from his legendary guitar work” on this new release.
