OurStage Introduces Revenue Sharing For Independent Artists

Ever-growing music social networking site OurStage.com is continuing to unveil its latest products with the release of a new program that aims to help independent artists earn money when fans stream their music online.

OurStage Pro, which is described on the OS YouTube page as “the new economy for independent artists,” is a new program with a $2 signup fee. In exchange for their money, musicians will have access to revenue sharing for qualified song spins on their OS profile and Facebook (as well as anywhere the embeddable player is placed), direct fan-to-artist funding, licensing opportunities, and more. To help explain their latest offering, OurStage released a promotional video that can be found after the jump.

We believe in every artist on this site, so it is worth reminding musicians reading this post that OurStage continues to offer a monthly competition that places one independent artist or group on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Click here for more details.

OurStage is a pretty good site for my music, but I still have yet to win one of those competitions. Boo.
