Coldplay Working On Next Album

Pop rockers Coldplay have already begun work on their next album. Earlier this year, front man Chris Martin had said the band would go not return for three years; apparently, he was referring to appearing in Australia on a world tour, and not talking about the band taking an actual break. He clarified his statements to the Daily Star, saying “I’ve been writing songs and I’m so fired up about the band’s future… I’m fortunate to do what I do and no way do I want to stop. This three-year break idea only came about because I said at a gig in Australia that we might not be back there for three years. That’s probably true, but that’s just how a world tour works. No chance are we taking a three-year break.

Coldplay hasn’t released an album since 2011’s hard to pronounce Mylo Xyloto. Martin has said “The next [album] we’re releasing is much easier to pronounce“. Seriously, he said that. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for more news on the Coldplay front.
