Christopher Gutierrez has been good to us this week.
Just days ago, Chris uploaded some never before seen video of Fall Out Boy shot in 2002, before Take This To Your Grave was released. It shows a still-new band opening a hardcore show in Chicago. It’s an interesting look at a band that would soon grow to be large figures in the public eye.
Months after the aforementioned Jim Grimes XXX Birthday Show footage was taken, Gutierrez was on hand at the band’s debut at the iconic Metro in Chicago. Back stage, you can see a visibly nervous band preparing to reveal themselves to a massive crowd of fans.
Then “Billie Jean” kicks in and the musicians make their way on stage. When “Dead on Arrival” begins, the lights go up and the crowd goes wild. The video below also contains video from “Growing Up” and “Calm Before the Storm.” Thank you to Chris for this nostalgic treat.
