Warped Tour Makes First Band Announcement

This year’s Vans Warped Tour is making its band announcements on Fuse with episodes of Warped Roadies. The first announcement came tonight, with six bands being announced. The six bands? Woe Is Me, I See Stars, Go Radio, The Story So Far, Like Moths To Flames, and Big Chocolate. In addition to these six bands, two other bands have been confirmed in some way: Forever Came Calling were apparently told by Warped founder Kevin Lyman himself that they’d be playing, and Lyman also told Kerrang! Magazine that Bring Me The Horizon would be playing. It should be noted that Bring Me The Horizon is a band from the UK, and Kerrang! is from London, so there’s a chance Lyman was referring to the UK part of Warped Tour.

If you plan on going to Warped, here’s a heads up: the earlier you buy tickets, the cheaper they’ll be. Boston’s already sold out of its lowest price point.

It seems announcements will continue weekly with episodes, which is great marketing (if you weren’t already interested in watching the show, you probably have a reason to check it out now). There are rumors floating around about who will headline and what other acts will tour, but these are the only official Warped Tour bands at this point. You can check out the updated page on the official website here.

I’m happy Woe is me & The Story So Far are going. I wonder who the headliners are. I have to hope for one of the old Drive thru bands (The Starting Line, Finch, etc.) headlines or at least makes a few appearances.
