Danny Brown Reveals New Title, Collaborators For ‘XXX’ Followup

Big day for Danny Brown. You know, that rapper from Detroit. He was almost in G-Unit? Uh… he’s the one with the hair… and the teeth (or lack thereof)? Yeah, the gross sexual one! Love that guy.

In a yet-to-be-run interview on Pitchfork – I guess they didn’t want to sit on this scoop? – Brown dished on the nitty gritty for his full length follow up to 2011’s XXX.

First, it’s going to be called Old, contrary to tweets sent out by Brown back in October. And unlike XXX, Old is going to cost you actual money. Jesus, an artist charging for music?! Where do these guys get off?!

All kidding aside, Brown probably couldn’t afford such a stacked list of features on Old if he wasn’t charging for it.

A$AP Rocky, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Kitty Pryde will all exchange verses with Brown on Old. Production will also see a few new beatmakers (Rustie, Oh No, Purity Ring) mingling with the rest of the usual suspects (SKYWLKR, Paul White, Darq E Freaker). No release date yet for Old unfortunately, though Brown insists that the album is, “75% done”.

And if that wasn’t enough Danny Brown for you today then you should mosey over to Noisey to check out the Back & Forth interview series he just wrapped up with Mike Skinner of The Streets. Watch the first installment of the entertainingly vile four part interview below.
