Earlier this year, we reported that The Bamboozle Festival would not be returning to Asbury Park in New Jersey in 2013. At the time, we thought it was an indication that the festival was moving to the other side of the country. This no longer seems to be the case.
After not turning a profit in 2012, the Bamboozle Festival is taking 2013 off. It still aims to return in 2014, so we can be optimistic about that. However, it’s a disappointment in itself; if 90,000 tickets isn’t enough to turn a profit anymore, there are probably more changes coming than just the location.
The Facebook status from Bamboozle read “Happy holidaze [sic] Boozlers! We are sad to announce we will miss all of you in 2013 but keep your eyes peeled for 2014 info. Have a warm and safe holiday season!” They tweeted a similar remark, saying “Boozlers, we are sad to announce we will miss all of you in 2013, but keep your eyes peeled for ’14 info. Have a warm & safe holiday season!“
But, now that we've cleared that up and you called your high school janitor, know that I quit being a janitor to pursue writing about music. So here I am, and here you are, and hey how are you?
