STREAM: We Came As Romans – “Hope”

Michigan’s We Came As Romans have partnered with MTV to premiere their latest single, “Hope.” The track, which is taken from the forthcoming reissue of Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be, once again puts the future direction of the band under slightly new light thanks in part to the lower (read: more reasonable) range on the clean vocals. It may seem like a small evolution to some, but anyone following the band’s meteoric rise in recent years should know that could not be further from the truth. Bands like WCAR pride themselves on signature sounds/effects/vocals, and the decision to approach such a large component of the group’s sound nearly three albums into a career is a risk that ultimately pays off better than one could have imagined. You can stream “Hope” after the jump.

The deluxe reissue of Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be hits stores January 8.
