Dave Grohl’s Sound City Players Debut New Song, Add California Show Date

Dave Grohl assembled his odd supergroup for a wicked soundtrack to his upcoming documentary, Sound City, then added some performance dates at the Sundance Film Festival. They’ve now added a show at the Hollywood Palladium, with tickets going on sale today. Somewhere along the way, one of the songs that isn’t Paul McCartney and the Nirvana boys leaked online; in response, the Sound City page posted the high quality version.

Corey Taylor, vocalist for Slipknot and Stone Sour,  Rick Nielsen, guitarist for Cheap Trick, and Scott Reeder, former bassist for Kyuss, join Dave Grohl on the song titled “From Can To Can’t”. The interesting lineup (seriously, modern metal and Cheap Trick?) produces a little ditty that is much better than the previous song, “Cut Me Some Slack”, in my opinion. Check it out for yourself after the break, and remember to pre-order the film here
