If the album art and Chris Brown feature didn’t tip you to what kind of joint “Ready” is, let me tell it to you straight: this new track from Fabolous is smoove like butter.

Some might call it a song for the ladies. But that’s a bit limiting, don’t you think? Fabolous’ hardnosed delivery and the tasteful, modern production from The Runners is enough to keep Brown’s saccharine hook from turning everything fructose.

As it is, “Ready” is sleek, sexy, and primed for crossover success. Sounds like something all the genders can get down to. The slow burning cut will be featured on the forthcoming Loso’s Way II, due out some time later this year.
