Meek Mill is taking one of the lessons he learned in grade school to heart; if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.
The Philadelphia-based rapper recently spoke with HipHopSince1987 on a number of topics, ranging from his upcoming mixtape Dreamchasers 3, his haters, and his ongoing beef with Cassidy. Well, it was ongoing.
Tired of the weeks’ long volley of diss tracks, Mill stated that he will no longer be engaging with Cassidy on record.
“See my whole thing is like, when you’re going back and forth with somebody…” said Mill of his and Cassidy’s back and forth beef, “and after this record the next day you gotta try and drop a new song and you gotta try and benefit off me, that’s when it becomes not a game no more.”
“That ain’t fun no more for me,” Mill continued, saying that Cassidy was essentially, “trying to steal from me.” Mill would go as far to say that Cassidy was no longer welcome in Philadelphia. Obviously Mill has the authority, as the cultural gatekeeper of Philly, who can enter and leave his burgh.
I’m just kidding, Freeway is the only person with that power. Or Will Smith, though the scope of his influence is limited to the western sector of the city.
Bundle up Cassidy, it’s gonna be a cold winter.
