STREAM: Goo Goo Dolls – “Rebel Beat”

Sometimes reading about the return of something is more exciting than the actual return. Such is the case with “Rebel Beat,” the new single from Goo Goo Dolls which found its way online over the weekend. Filled with radio-ready riffs and lyrics so simple they could be used to teach elementary students a better understanding of our language, the track oozes with apathy towards the band’s core fan base. It’s a shameless push for success in my opinion, and you can see if you agree by streaming the song below.

Goo Goo Dolls are expected to reveal details about their forthcoming 2013 release in the near future. Stay tuned to UTG for updates.

I totally disagree with you. I’m a long time Goo Goo Dolls fan and I find it fresh and upbeat with John’s classic lyric style built right in. If you listen to a song and it makes you feel good, it is a winner! I give them kudos for going in a different direction and this catchy tune will be a huge hit!!

This song is the definition and epitome of “Mom Rock”. Barb, Retha, Denise… You three ladies prove my point completely.

A sweet, intimate song with a summer twist and the message in the right place.

With all due respect, the only point that I see made is that the song is fun,
upbeat, and full of life, which is something we positive people enjoy!
Btw…you know nothing if we are Moms or not, so next time you make someone
your example, do your homework first!
