Bruce Willis to Return to Sin City (in 3D)

Robert Rodriguez spoke with MTV recently about his upcoming movie Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, the long over-due sequel to 2005’s Sin City. The most surprising news that Bruce Willis has returned to the cast as Detective John Hartigan, joining what looks to be another star filled cast. Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Michael Madsen, Clive Owen, and Mickey Rourke are all set to return to their roles from the original, with Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jeremy Piven, and Ray Liotta joining in new (ish) roles. Dennis Haysbert will be another new comer, playing Manute, a role played in the original by the late Michael Clarke Duncan.

In addition, Rodriguez spoke about shooting the movie in 3D, saying “We shot this in 3D. We didn’t shoot Sin City in 3D. […] The difference in shooting it is just- you can’t even compare. Because this is a very two dimensional world it’s very stylized. To see that kind of stylization in 3D will blow people’s mind.
