The last few years have seen the reunion of nearly every boy band ever, except one. No matter how much fans beg, plead, and dream, no amount of public outcry seems to be enough to usher in the return of *NSYNC. However, a tweet from one member earlier today has assured fans will continue to hold onto hope of such a reunion for the foreseeable future.

Taking to his Twitter around 3PM today, Joey Fatone kicked off another round of speculation with the following message:

The response quickly grew from a few dozen retweets to a few hundred in a matter of minutes, and the replies began pouring in just as fast. In fact, a quick search on Twitter also revealed that fans almost immediately began reaching out to fellow *NSYNC members Lance Bass, Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, and JC Chasez in hopes of similar comments:

For the record, *NSYNC have not performed together since 2002, and their website has been offline for nearly half a decade.

At the time of this post, none of the other *NSYNC members had commented on Fatone’s remarks.

We want to see “Bye Bye Bye” live one more time as much as the next twenty-something clinging to their youth, but we definitely won’t be holding our breath on this one. If anything changes, we’ll let you know.
