More than a year has passed since Drake and the Young Money crew brought the phrase “YOLO” to the tongues and inebriated texts of people around the world. For better or worse, it seems everyone has something to appreciate about the idea “you only live once,” even if it’s nothing more than the courage to do something that could end said life much faster than the average person. That idea has almost nothing to do with this post, but it’s something to think about nonetheless.
Never ones to let a trending topic pass without making light of it as only they can, The Lonely Island returned to Saturday Night Live last night to release their latest single. Featuring Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and hip hop favorite Kendrick Lamar, “YOLO” follows a structure similar to the group’s hip hop songs, only this time the lyrics offer advice on making life a bit longer. You can view the clip below.
Kendrick Lamar was the musical guest on last night’s SNL as well. We’ll have performance videos up later today.
