Rapper and G.O.O.D. Music affiliate Cyhi The Prynce is striking out on his own with his newest mixtape Ivy League: Kick Back. Perhaps you aren’t familiar with Cyhi’s work in spite of his appearances on various G.O.O.D. Friday tracks or his featured verse on “So Appalled” from Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. If that’s the case, then what better time than now to be introduced to Cyhi?

For those that still need to be convinced, we’ve got a sample of Cyhi’s sound that might sway you. “Young, Rich, Fly & Famous”, the 15th (!) track from Ivy League: Kick Back sees Cyhi and guest spitter Childish Gambino both going in hard over a funky beat by Mel & Mus. Cyhi might get the points for the most fashionable references but CG has a few scene-stealing lines of his own like, “chain on my neck/ why your boy so Django/ “The D is silent”/ my D is violent”. Other guests on Ivy League: Kick Back include Yelawolf, 2 Chainz, and Smoke DZA.
