Comeback Kid To Tour With Original Vocalist

Winnipeg, Manitoba hardcore act Comeback Kid have something special planned for the 10th anniversary of their debut LP Turn It Around: they’re hitting the road with their first vocalist Scott Wade.

It can’t quite be billed as a full reunion. Original bassist Cliff Heide, who only appeared on the band’s first full length, won’t be joining the rest of the group on tour. But it’ll be a hell of a nostalgia trip nontheless. According to a press release that went out this morning, not only will Wade by doing the vocals during a string of performances in the US, Canada, and Europe, but current vocalist Andrew Neufield will reprise his original role as guitarist for the group.

That’s not all that Comeback Kid has in store for this special tour.

“We thought it’d be cool to commemorate it with a few things, one of them being bringing Scott Wade back on vocals for some dates,” said guitarist Jeremy Hiebert in a press release. “We’ll do a few shows and festivals playing songs off of Turn It Around as well as Wake The Dead in April, May and June. Not a lineup change, just a little living in the past as a thank you to those who’ve been with us since day one.”

Awwww, those kids are so sweet. They’re even reissuing Turn It Around on colored vinyl with new artwork. It’s going to be a limited pressing too. Duh.
