We raved about Dropkick Murphys’ most recent effort, Signed And Sealed In Blood, when it dropped earlier in January. Now we’re going to rave about the music video for “The Boys Are Back”, the opening track and the third single from the album.
So which tough guy trope did the Boston-based celtic punk band decide to run with for this clip? Mobsters? No, that doesn’t send a very positive message. Center the whole thing around a The Town-like heist? Same issue.
Nope, Dropkick took things to the boxing ring. I’d say it’s reminiscent of The Fighter, but that took place in Lowell. So there’s no possible connection.
So get ready to watch men be men while some kick-ass bagpipe and guitar accompaniment soundtracks the video for “The Boys Are Back” by clicking “Read more”.
