Did you know that there’s more to the contemporary Chicago hip-hop scene than Chief Keef and GBE? It’s true!
King L is another Chitown native who’s been building a lot of buzz for himself in the streets. He’s been on his grind for some time; at 24 years of age he’s been at work on his major label debut Dope & Shrimp for over a year. But he’s kept himself visible between his signing and his full length debut. Getting a shout out from Kanye West will do that.
But Louie’s not just being referenced in high-profile hip-hop tracks. He’s even making music to keep his audience satisfied while he works on Dope & Shrimp. His most recent mixtape Drilluminati dropped a few months back. And wouldn’t you know, it’s full of bangers.
L just put out a video for one of those bangers,”More Bandz”, earlier today. I strongly encourage you to check it out after the jump.
