Washington DC based genre-benders RDGLDGRN have just put out another taste of their debut EP RDGLDGRN, “I Love Lamp”, for your listening pleasure.
Yes, the title is an Anchroman reference. But the song is no joke. A more alt-rocking cut than their previous release from RDGLDGRN “Million Fans”, “I Love Lamp” has “crossover” all over it. Don’t be shocked if it makes it on to most of your friends’ summer playlists. But like “Million Fans”, this song also has Dave Grohl beating the skins.
I don’t know how Grohl does it. One minute he’s plugging his Sound City documentary in Colorado, the next he’s drumming with a couple of kids from the District.
Stream “I Love Lamp” over at Rolling Stone now. RDGLDGRN will be released on February 12.
