Metalcore elder statesmen Killswitch Engage have been nothing if not consistent. At least in terms of quality and timeliness of output. Having put out five albums between 2000’s self-titled and 2009’s… self-titled, the group is now gearing up for their first release of the decade, Disarm the Descent.

However, the group hasn’t been as consistent in terms of lineup stability. But the most recent reshuffling had fans who had been with the band since the beginning licking their chops in anticipation. I’m talking, of course, of Killswitch Engage’s reunion with original vocalist Jesse Leach.

Disarm the Descent will be released April 2 on Roadrunner Records.
