You have to wonder why somebody didn’t do something like this sooner.

LIGHT, a new nightclub to open at the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas, are kicking off their opening in grand fashion. The club, “turned on by Cirque du Soleil”, will feature a number of prominent DJ residencies. Namely Skrillex, Zedd, Sebastian Ingrosso (of Swedish House Mafia fame), and Baauer.

Rolling Stone reports that the residencies are notable in that each will be a unique audiovisual experience. Each DJ will be working with Cirque du Soleil and Moment Factory, the company producing each of the shows, to create a club event sui generis.

“The cool thing is, Zedd’s show is gonna be different than mine; Alesso’s show is gonna be different than Baauer’s,” Skrillex adds. “I’m getting in with these guys on a personal level; we’re designing something that fits the club – and that’s what’s cool about LIGHT, too. Every show is gonna feel like a whole different experience.”

Now take a look at some of the artists renderings of what club go-ers might be in store for at LIGHT.

Now these aren’t necessarily what the shows are actually going to look like. Plus I don’t see any dancers! Or acrobats! Isn’t that Cirque du Soleil’s bread and butter? But if the events are anywhere close to these acid dropped madcap spectacles, then count me in. As long as there’s no cover.
