Recent Bad Boy signee French Montana might be able to “Pop That” but it doesn’t look like he can pick a release date and stick with it. XXL is reporting that the rapper’s debut album Excuse My French won’t be released as scheduled on April 16. Instead, the album is now slated to see the light of day on May 21.
Hip-hop fans will not that this isn’t the first time French Montana’s first album has gotten its release delayed. Excuse My French was originally supposed to come out in July 2012, about a month after “Pop That” was made commercially available. At that point it was bumped to Q3 2012. Then, in December, Montana said that the album would be coming out on March 12. Then April. Now May.
In the interim between the original album release date and this latest bump back, Montana has released a mixtape, planned a national tour, and prepped another single from Excuse My French, “Freaks” featuring Nicki Minaj. It’s not like the rapper has been slacking. So expect Excuse My French to come out… someday.
