D.C. hip-hop rockers, RDGLDGRN released their debut EP, RED GOLD GREEN, yesterday via Fairfax/Republic Recordings. As of now, the entire EP featuring Dave Grohl on drums and a track produced by Pharrell Williams is currently streaming on Entertainment Weekly’s website.

“We started out making songs in our mother’s basement with just each other and ended up making a record in the legendary Sound City with the likes of Dave Grohl and Pharrell,” Green told Purevolume.com. “It’s been mind blowing to say the absolute least. We are really excited about these songs getting released so that we can share our DC Go-Go infused indie/hip-hop with everyone.”

Since the release of their current single, “I Love Lamp”, RDGLDGRN has been picking up a lot of steam.

Rolling Stone said, “the group pounds away with high-flying guitar textures over Grohl’s barreling drum work…an honest take on losing out on love.”

Stream RDGLDGRN’s new EP on EW.com and pick it up on iTunes.
