Cleveland’s Machine Gun Kelly has returned to UTG headlines this afternoon with the video for his latest single, “Champions.”
Taken from his upcoming mixtape, “Champions” pairs Machine Gun Kelly with Bad Boy CEO Puff Daddy for a track about overcoming the obstacles life presents set to a sample from Queen’s “We Are The Champions.” This is executed with their usual barrage of ego-boosting lines and talk of finances, of course, but even all that common ground cannot take away from the catchiness of the hook. You can view the video below.
Lace Up was far from a perfect release, but Machine Gun Kelly does find himself in good standing here at the head of 2013. Where he goes next will depend on his future singles, but for now “Champions” should keep his name on the lips of tastemakers and fans worldwide.
