The good people at Bonnaroo are about to reveal the lineup to the 2013 installment of the Manchester, Tennessee based festival. But this year, they’re doing it live. And with Weird Al Yankovic! Yes, Weird Al will be hosting, along with a slew of other musicians and comedians, the Bonnaroo Lineup Announcement Megathon aka B.L.A.M. or #BLAM if you’re on Twitter. So it’s like a telethon, but cool. Also, you won’t be pledging your money to public broadcasting, but instead forking it over to Superfly Presents and AC Entertainment.
But it’s not just announcements going down today. Classic Bonnaroo clips featuring the likes of Bon Iver, Bruce Springsteen, and Metallica were being streamed just before Weird Al takes the reins and right after they wrap the announcement portion of the program there will be a “surprise” classic Bonnaroo concert. Yes, they’re pulling out all the stops for this.
The announcement portion begins at 1pm EST and will go until 2pm EST. We’re guessing that the ‘roo has a monster lineup in store this year so you won’t want to miss this. Stream the live Bonnaroo Lineup Announcement Megathon after the jump.
