Twin Falls, the latest group to debut from singer/songwriter Chris Carrabba, made their debut at SXSW last week with a series of performances throughout the city of Austin. During their first set, which took place inside the Central Presbyterian Church, Carrabba took a moment to introduce the band before diving into a cover of Weezer’s “El Scorcho.” You can view footage of the performance after the jump.
Anyone familiar with Carrabba’s body of work knows he is no stranger to covering this song, but seeing it re-imagined by the members of Twin Falls is more than enough to make it feel new once again. We’ll have an official UTG TV clip of a new Twin Falls song soon, so be sure to keep an eye out for that post in the coming days.
