WATCH: Earl Sweatshirt interview and perform “WHOA” at SXSW

With consistent news starting to pile up on the rap game’s youngest rising star, Earl Sweatshirt hung out with Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg and fellow Odd Future member, Domo Genesis, at SXSW. In the nearly 24-minute interview, the two discuss eating lunch with Andre 3000, his top 5 MC’s, Mac Miller as a producer, Tyler The Creator as a director, and much more.

The interview is a great look into the personality of Earl Sweatshirt. He comes off as a chill dude who isn’t above the hype. The Odd Future member has come a long way since his mom sent him to Samoa because she didn’t like his “disrespectful” music. The interview can be viewed below.

If that wasn’t enough, Earl Sweatshirt performed his new single, “WHOA,” at SXSW’s Fader Fort last week. Although Tyler The Creator didn’t make an appearance, Earl was accompanied by Flying Lotus on the ones and twos. Check out the quality video performance via FaderTV below.
