If you are just now tuning in to the hype surrounding Star Trek Into Darkness the following nerdgasm is probably not going to have the same impact on your fanboy heart as the rest of us. That said, keep reading (and eventually watching) because your day is about to get pretty damn awesome.
We are just under two months away from the highly-anticipated release of JJ Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness, and earlier today a brand new international trailer filled with new footage found its way online. The clip, which you can view at the end of this post, features more Benedict Cumberbatch than any previous trailer, as well as far more explosions. From the Enterprise crashing into a city, to what appears to be Spock fighting on top of flying car, to shattering glass every 5-10 seconds, the following preview has it all. Click below and enjoy.
Star Trek Into Darkness opens nationwide May 17.
Official synopsis: After the crew of the Enterprise find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction.
