Beyonce Releases “I Been On” Remix Featuring Bun B, Z-Ro, Scarface, Willie D, Slim Thug, & Lil Keke

Beyonce has never been one to play it safe in music, and now the pop diva has an all-star hip hop remix for her latest single that is unlike anything you’ve heard before.

When it was first released attached to “Bow Down,” “I Been On” took a backseat as the slower, more vocal effect heavy half of Beyonce’s new material. The track oozed with a sound reminiscent of Houston in its heyday, and so it should come as little-to-no surprise that Bey chose a slew of Texas MCs to appear on the song’s official remix. Bun B, Z-Ro, Scarface, Willie D, Slim Thug, and Lil Keke, otherwise known as every great Texas MC in the last two decades, take turns swapping verses while Bey’s original lines are almost entirely removed, but it works well so we’re not about to start complaining. You can stream the “I Bow Down” remix below.

Beyonce has remained quiet on the topic of whether or not “Bow Down” and “I Been On” are the lead singles off her next studio album, but at this point I think it would be hard to write them off as one-time promotional singles. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on Bey’s latest, as well as your choice for best verse on the “I Been On” remix.
