UTG EXCLUSIVE: The Drama State – The Making of ‘Stories’

the drama state press

We met up with The Drama State back in November, just after their album, Stories, was released. At that point, they were pushing their completed record into the hands of awaiting fans, new and old.

Now, we are taking a behind the scenes look at before the album was release; before it was even finished.

The Drama State was officially started in June of 2012, just two months before Stories was delivered to the iTunes store. Emerging from former projects with a collective sense of direction and purpose, The Drama State set out to write and record an album despite seemingly the mundane challenges most bands meet and contend with along the way.

While in the studio, the boys took some time to record a short documentary of sorts to show what was going on behind the boards. Each of the guys takes a turn touching on subjects like finances, jobs, and member changes. They also introduce their new lead guitarist Eric Hewitt.

Watch The Making Of Stories below and catch them on the Make Your Own Luck Tour which starts May 3 in Indianapolis, IN.

Watch out for a music video for “I’m Not Gonna Lie” this spring and the “BRO BIG or BRO HOME” tour which starts in mid-June and goes through July.
