The rise of Kyle has been well documented on UTG over the last several months, and this morning his takeover of young hip hop continues with the release of his “Fruit Snacks” music video.

Serving as Kyle’s third single in four months, “Fruit Snacks” offers fans a different side of the often quick-tongued MC with a laid back beat and smooth flow that is a vast departure from “Keep It Real” and “Silver Platter.” It’s so different in fact that I needed about half a dozen listens before I could wrap my head around the young lyricist’s motivation behind the track, but then I saw the video and realized Kyle is just being Kyle. He’s not been in hip hop long enough to have “a sound,” and tracks like this prove he’s testing the waters to see where he can make the biggest impact. You can stream the video below.

Kyle has yet to announce a mixtape or album plans, but we are currently working on setting up an interview so we can learn more about his plans. Stay tuned for updates in the coming weeks.
