The Latest ‘Carrie’ Trailer Promises A Bloody Good Time

Of the two major horror remakes hitting theaters this year (we’re still not talking about Texas Chainsaw 3D), it’s safe to say Carrie has up till now been in the shadow of Evil Dead. The latter opens in theaters this weekend, and if you’re lucky you might get to see the former previewed with a new trailer that hit the net earlier today.

When the first Carrie teaser was released it was hard to decide how to feel about the footage. The majority of the clip was nothing more than a town on fire and a bloody Chloe Moretz standing alone in the street, which didn’t exactly tell us much about the film itself other than the expectation of epic CGI fire. The new trailer, however, is the lengthy preview we have all been waiting on. This time we meet Carrie, see her interact with her overly religious and controlling mother (Julianne Moore), witness the cruelty of the kids at school, and are given just enough prom night action to get our blood pumping. It’s still far too early to tell if the film will be any good, but whoever cut this trailer together certainly deserves a high five. You can view the preview below.

Carrie arrives in theaters October 18. Comment below and let us know if you will be lining up to see it opening night.
