Kevin Devine Confirms Guest Vocals Of Isobel Campbell For LP7

Kevin Devine has just wrapped up recording his seventh studio album. According to his Facebook page all that’s left is mixing and mastering. That’s one step closer to having his new album in your hands!

Kevin Devine has also indicated that his new album will feature guest vocals from Isobel Campbell (known from Belle & Sebastian) on a song titled “For Eugene.” You can check out what he had to say by taking a look below the jump.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more updates on the album, I’m sure we will be hearing more about it in the near future!

And with that, LP7 is recorded. Mixing & mastering to come. Major bonus on the last day of an incredibly fast-moving & rewarding month: Isobel Campbell, whose distinctive voice I’ve loved on her own solo work, records with Mark Lanegan, and (particularly) on the first several Belle & Sebastian records, came in and sang beautiful harmonies on “For Eugene.” Massive thanks to her, to Russ & Eli from Everest, and to Rob & Chris for everything. Can’t wait to share.
