Bowling For Soup Announce UK Farewell Tour; Insist They Are Not Breaking Up

After nineteen years together, Bowling For Soup have announced they will embark on a final UK tour later this year. The band insists, however, that they have no intentions of breaking up any time soon.

Announced Tuesday morning, the ‘Bowling For Soup Bids Farewell’ UK tour will find the band spending two weeks overseas for the last time this October. Only one band will be opening, which the band says ensures the longest BFS set possible, but who that band will be will not be revealed until closer to the tour. You can view the dates and venues for the run at the end of this post.

In a video released alongside the announcement, BFS frontman Jaret Reddick is quick to assure fans that this is not the end. “We’re all excited about the future and what’s next. Honestly, it opens up the whole world for us! If you’re a fan of Bowling For Soup, this really is better news than it seems. You may not be seeing us in person as much, but you’re definitely gonna have more new songs.” He continues by detailing plans to continue creating new music even after their time on the road comes to an end, including plans for a covers record to be released in time for band’s 20th anniversary next year.

If you didn’t have time or patience to make it to the end of the video, Reddick closes by commenting that Bowling For Soup have not decided whether or not they will embark on a US farewell tour. That said, he also seems to make it clear the band is not planning on touring much, if at all, following this UK run. We’ll keep an eye for further updates and let you know as soon as more information becomes available.
