Some reunions happen and are nothing more than a quick tour to make a few bucks. Others are incidental and thus, aren’t even labeled as reunions. This is the case with “Real Bad Dreams”: it features three prominent musicians who used to be in Pedro the Lion playing together for the first time since Pedro’s disbandment. Those three are TW Walsh (former bassist, guitarist, keyboardist, and drummer for Pedro the Lion), David Bazan (singer, songwriter, and vocalist for Pedro the Lion), and Casey Foubert (former drummer and keyboardist for Pedro the Lion). The song, “Real Bad Dreams”, is by TW Walsh, and hence, it’s not a Pedro reunion, so much as a solo song with key former members playing.

Nonetheless, fans of the early 2000s indie rock band should be excited. Note Bazan is also coming out with a new supergroup, Overseas, with Will Johnson, and Matt & Bubba Kadane, on June 11. Bazan is also going on another living room tour, with dates listed here.
