I don’t know about you, but the prospect of a new AFI album sends gleeful excitement through me in a way twelve year olds must feel when they hear a Justin Bieber song. You heard right though, judging by the teaser video AFI just launched today we should be expecting a new album from the band later this year. Just to refresh your memory a bit, the last album the band released was Crash Love which was back in September 2009. It’s been nearly four years since that time, which is quite a lengthy break for an active band to take between records. Even their Facebook page has been quiet since September of last year. Makes one wonder what they’ve been doing all these months. As soon as we have more details on what the band is up to we will be sure to let you know right away!

Actually in the meantime, Davey Havok has participated in the broadway American Idiot, Davey and Jade released the record Bright Black Heaven for their electronica band Blaqk Audio, and also Davey Havok wrote a novel called Pop Kids which was released this year. I’m not sure about the other band members but I Know Davey Havok has been busy!
