After months of teasing, Mac Miller has released the lead single off his forthcoming Sophomore album.
“S.D.S.,” which stands for “Somebody Do Something,” finds Miller teaming with production from Flying Lotus on a beat that deserves to be heard through the finest headphones at your disposal. Like most of his work, the beat provided by Lotus offers Miller a mesmerizingly dense backdrop, and the young MC makes the most of the opportunity. In terms of catchiness the hook seems to take a backseat to the storytelling, but fans of Miller’s catalog will probably embrace this one nonetheless. You can stream “S.D.S.” after the jump.
Miller has yet to reveal a release date for his Sophomore effort, Watching Movies With The Sound Off, but the release of “S.D.S.” leads us to believe an update will surface soon. Stay tuned!
