Aliases Introduce New Vocalist; Release Video and Free MP3 For “Exasperation”

Basick Records group Aliases have had a rough 2013 so far. After building a reputation for their amazing riffs and face-melting live shows, the group found themselves without a frontman and tasked with the mission of creating new music. They searched and searched for someone to fill that position, and today the world gets their first taste of the latest version of Aliases.

“Exasperation” is a new single released to serve two purposes. First and foremost, the track introduces fans familiar with Aliases’ sound to the [stunning] vocal prowess of Joe Rosser. His contributions to the band give them a slight nu-metal edge, but not in any way that deters from the heaviness of their instrumental elements. In fact, I’d say the addition of Rosser gives the band a unique edge that will later aide them in standing out from their flooded marketplace. The proof of this is found in the dynamic, engaging material that makes up “Exasperation.” The guitar work is second-to-none, swirling and pulling the listener deep into the realm of Aliases before Rosser enters to win over anyone still fighting the urge to headbang. The drums pound, leading through the verses and into the radio-ready hook, while the bass ensure no one in the standing only section remains motionless for long. It’s everything you could hope for in a hard rock single, and you can enjoy it after the jump.

Aliases are currently offering “Exasperation” as a free download on their Bandcamp account. Their debut album is expected to arrive sometime in late Summer/early Fall. Stay tuned for updates.
